Outdoor Explorers

The Outdoor Explorer Club meets twice each month to engage youth in Environmental Science. The program engages 4-H members in a variety of hands-on activities and outdoor adventures that foster an increased understanding and appreciation for Kentucky's environment.

Youth will hike and explore the outdoors, completing forestry and geology projects while learning about the natural resources in Kentucky.

Club members are part of the Breckinridge County 4-H Outdoor Explorers Stream Team and adopt local streams. The club completes water quality tests throughout the year and service projects.

These environmental projects allow youth to learn in depth about their own environments and help youth grow into future decision- makers who are knowledgeable about, and appreciative of, our environment.
